The release date was April on the occasion of Vinitaly, but the winemaker Roberto Girelli preferred to wait another seven months for the 2021 vintage.
From today, after a long refinement in the bottle, it is ready to leave our cellar: we are talking about Orestilla, the limited edition single-variety Lugana - only 8 thousand bottles - whose grapes come from the vineyard of the same name located behind the winery.
A vineyard rewarded by a fortunate exposure to the South and with a soil enriched by a particular clayey mixture, which makes its grapes capable of producing extremely elegant and long-lived wines.
Speaking of awards: Orestilla won the platinum medal and the Best in Show in 2017 Decanter World Wine Awards; it was awarded as the best single-varietal white wine in the world.
A recognition that has consolidated the expectations of its admirers: expectations that will find satisfaction in the 2021 harvest, currently among the best of the 2000s.
