Montonale has a novelty in store that will appeal to the more and more numerous and committed Lugana connoisseurs: the large collectible formats .
In the cellar of Montonale, starting from the 2017 harvest, the winemaker Roberto Girelli bottled a very limited edition of 3 and 5-liter jéroboam bottles, all numbered by hand.
"Those who know us appreciate our work in the vineyard and in the cellar to obtain Lugana wines that express the essence of the territory and evolve in an unexpected way over time", says Girelli.
"For this reason we have created a small quantity of large format Lugana bottles, perfect in our opinion to give value to the evolution of Montunal , our classic white wine, and Orestilla , our single vineyard white. An evolution without nasty surprises, thanks to the sealing wax closure, which keeps the humidity of the cork constant, and the wooden case, which protects from ultraviolet rays and temperature changes ".
Orestilla 2017 and 2018 and Montunal 2018 and 2019 are waiting in the cellar for the lucky few who will be able to grab these unique pieces, to be uncorked without haste in great occasions .
